It's not a trade otherwise we would have found out. Unless Miller changed his mind last night about waiving his clause |

I actually liked that line last night. Even Leino. He also busted his butt back a few times on the back check. Something that probably couldn't be seen on TV but he was hustling all game - Stripes77
The problem is they are paying Leino, and Stafford, to put the puck in the back of the net. You can somebody to do the things you are describing $3M per or less.
Hustling is great, but scoring is more important from them, and they are simply not doing it. |

And they arent hustling every game either. They are the most expensive 4th liners I have ever seen |

He will be fine IMO. It's just frustrating to watch him (Foligno) The bad icings, trying to stickhandle all the time, not finishing checks. He is so inconcsistent - sbroads24
I think what you are seeing with Foligno is a byproduct of what the team is asking him to do, by putting him into situations is not familiar with and really not prepared to handle properly.
Put him as a 3rd line winger with a good center and I suspect you would see the Foligno of 2 years ago back with a vengeance. |

Bingo. At best, it's 1 out of 2.
If they don't buyout Leino, I will be nearly shocked. He's producing at about the $1.5M per level, not triple that.
I don't think they will buyout or trade Stafford, and that they will hold on to him until he becomes a UFA after next season. They need to have some contracts that can at least get them to the cap floor after Miller is gone. I believe that is the same reason they will not trade Myers or Ehrhoff, unless they get at least dollar for dollar back, if not more. |

Hopefully no one with Buffalo ties. I want someone who doesn't have losing embedded into them. |

I have to agree here, hopefully no one with Penguins ties either.

This could be, hopefully, the precursor to that something bigger, meaning a GM & coaching change after this season. |

I bet one of them is gone by years end. I have a feeling you see another "hockey trade" made |
